When stories are presented for children, asking questions at the end is a matter of teaching children to think about the stories. But such questioning is not appropriate when presenting stories to adults. If the audience is not already asking themselves the question or questions that the teller wants them to ask, then he or she story has failed in this regard, and overtly asking them questions signals either that the story-teller regards the audience as childish or that he or she didn't know how to tell the story.

What? Questions at the end are just an attempt to encourage comments and social media activity. Responses are used to determine whether a series can continue or not; it might be a cheap tactic but it is likely affecting their livelihood and not because they think anybody is childish.
