Indeed. Rather than resurrection, it seems more like rejuvenation.
Sidenote, I think this would've had more impact if he'd been around longer.

Well, I think it was as well done as it could, but, I agree, we didn't really had enough time to even know the guy.

The Jade & Chion past dialogue, basically more-or-less trying to humanize Chion a bit better but still showing he is unrelenting on his stance regarding Tristan and at least respected Jade also.

It was pretty clear from the jump that Chion was more autistic in how he expresses his love and friendship. It was always implied he had good qualities, from those that were around him the most, but his tunnel vision on Tristan makes him a huge asshole to anyone who is unknown.

People are well justified in disliking him, he has only been vicious and cruel to our MCs and not much else. I think it was good to see him humanized, and I'm glad Nakaba-sensei did because as one of the close allies of the four knights, we'll be seeing plenty of him going forward. Nice that his ability is so strong and a great visual too, that was quite the surprise. Well I just like this manga a lot so I'm along for the ride. I trust Nakaba-sensei's skill of making me care for even the strangest characters, he did it in 7DS so I expect he will here too. Rip Jade.
