I'm not sure that I quite buy this bit of drama. I mean I understand to an extent feeling betrayed but I thought that Kaoru had made clear how much he likes/respects Rieka, not only that but Saotome knew that there was a lot of home drama in Kaoru's life plus I don't think it was ever made clear to her how close Kaoru and Rieka were (or rather aren't)? On top of that Saotome is typically pretty capable, as it was even discussed about the issue with the dad how she tried to handle the issue even if it was unsuccessful, I get that she can get a bit blinded by emotion but after what happened JUST THE OTHER NIGHT you'd think that Saotome would, I don't know, at least wait to hear what Kaoru had to say? Heck he said he was meaning to tell her, so it's not like she was being forcefully kept out of the loop, and as she said she didn't care if Kaoru was a man or a woman, so you can't exactly fault him for not telling everyone he meets about it. Just the other night she was pushing him away as if her problems were none of his business, then the next day is acting like it's a grievous insult that she wasn't privy to something that personal? I've been really enjoying this series and I don't plan to drop it because of this, but this just feels very forced to me.

Well, to me it seems like the dad is good guy at least. I mean kaoru didn't show a scared face from encountering his dad while wearing female clothes but instead it's from the shock of bumping into him out of nowhere and also the dad doesn't look at kaoru with disgust in fact he even almost mistake him for his own dead daughter. Well hopefully kaoru will tell saotome more of himself sadly he wont be able to tell her about how she knew his secret since he himself didn't know she knew about it.

@zips no, but it is ending in chapter 32 per chapter 30's end author comment. That's about a month from now in the raws. My suspicion is that this is 5 volumes of content squeezed into 4 volumes of story; without going into raw spoilers be prepared for the quick pace of this chapter to be maintained.

Welp, Reika has turned out to be a manipulative piece of work: she's basically centred herself around using people. And she's tempting the childhood friend to act on his worse impulses — at least he shows some evidence of being conflicted, and it's obvious that his emotions towards Kaoru are complicated, not the obsessive infatuation that Reika has for Saotome.

@kazu19: Saotome knew that Kaoru was posing as Kaede, not that Kaoru is male (Kaoru is a gender neutral name).
