Honestly it's not bad, but like
@untoastabletoast said, most of the grammar errors from the previous TL are still there (as well as the hideous AI upscaling). The most obvious one that jumps out to me (and has done every time it's used) is "extremely hates pain". Most people will get what that means, but it is 100% grammatically incorrect, and having chapters full of stuff like that just makes it a bit of a chore to read imo. Some proof reading would go a long way.
Oh. lol 😆 I actually just wanted to exaggerate that one. the real TL is just "hates pain" i guess it back fired.
Other than that, if there's any more it's probably because I'm translating it 'as is' meaning most of the japanese if TL-ed in EN without changing the structure is just going to be wrong (most japanese sentences are reverse i.e.
she said, the apple is ripe = the
apple is ripe, is what she said. it sounds normal if it just one sentence but if it piles up it's really a chore for the reader), I didn't want it to stray away from the actual meaning bcz most Japanese jokes get blurred out.
and readers like me have voices inside our head that speaks in japanese LOL 😆 localizing is hard for the non-natives
Being a solo scanner, it's really hard to see mistakes like these, By letting time pass and reading it again, is the only way for me to realize something is actually wrong.
I actually feel what you mean by it being a chore bcz I experience it all the time 😆. It's just, you become unaware of it, if you want to keep the manga's integrity.
it would really help if you guys pointed out some specific parts that are wrong and how it could be changed. that way, I would know and don't have to change it so often.
and the thing about AI upscaling? I'm really not sure what you guys are talking about. I used the RAWs, that's also why the quality has dropped significantly. I did notice some AI changes in the previous one, and it was painfully bad. but this one? That's probably just me and my bad redrawing, if it's next to a text then it's redrawn.
Thanks though.
