Are any of them going to point out that there's a huge difference between killing someone and getting into an accident that causes someone's death? They're both bad, but the first is obviously way worse. I thought that that was going to be a big reveal, and everybody who doubted him would either realize that he's not really a killer and feel bad, or try to rationalize their hatred of him some other way. They all just act like the motorcycle accident is just as bad as killing somebody and only react when his friend questions if he was really the rider.

I like to think that they're not believing it only due to the situation they're in but considering how they acted in the previous chapters, I wouldn't doubt that they seriously think he's still a murderer. He has shown multiple times that he's just trying to help everyone as well which makes it so unbearable to see them not doubt a single bad thing about him.
