Of course she's going to be angry, she's been suffering all alone for all this time!

Push through it!

"Things that you hate are basically what you hate."

Yes, and people die when they are killed.

Sekai is angry, but he’s got a point. She’s his wife - so he wants to help and protect her; that doesn’t mean denying what she’s done for the world until now...when she’ll calm down she’ll understand. Also, she’s probably trying to make him stop just to protect him.

I really do get her perspective right now though. She's been on this track suffering for thousands of years. For some kid, even one she's become quite fond of, to chime in this late in the game and be all like "Let me save you you don't have to do this" probably sounds like a huge joke at best, a serious swipe at her sacrifice at worst. Like what could he possibly do? Words are cheap, and even if she was able to get her hopes up that something might change, the odds are she would just be disappointed in the end.

I really want there to be something that can be done though. That crap was hardcore.

Am I the only one thinking that half of what Yuuki was saying makes zero sense?

Girl, it's time for you to learn of sunk cost fallacy. Just because it's old and been around doesn't mean it needs to keep going.

Only if Yuuki legit has a solution though.

I have a feeling it's going to go something like "Her role of being the sponge for all the world's "evils" isn't actually necessary" kind of thing. Like she's sponged it all to protect humanity from having to deal with it, under the belief that without her doing that, the "evil" would bring an end to the world... but it'll actually be the case that when she's persuaded to abandon her "duty" and let the "evil" out, instead each living thing on the earth will bear a bit of it, and that'll be across so many beings that it'll actually be easily managed. I kind of forgot, but was it ever made clear that it was specifically necessary that someone had her role? Wasn't it that the god appointed someone with her role because the god couldn't/didn't want to deal with it on their own. If so, there's no need for the singular sacrifice, it's just the necessity everyone believed...

Or, you know, the fact that people that look like MMC and FMC are in the "story" of the god and their appointed "janitor" except MMC's proxy seems to be the janitor, and FMC is the lover is indicative that being the "janitor's" lover is the actual intended role of the "sacrifice" that the MMC was to be at the start, to free the current janitor by taking their place, and it'll be that tragic ending instead, where the MC's just trade places instead...
