You can't call this a happy ending. There's gotta be an extra or something right? This is just a "what happens next is up to you" kind of scenario. Doujin writers, get to that happy ending!

@BurningBridges So there's actually two Gods. There's the "provisional God" aka the female lead and the "real God" behind the scenes. Thousands of years ago, the male lead was supposed to become the provisional God, but the female lead decided to take his place instead. So the "real God" offered the male lead a chance to break the cycle. Since then, the male and female lead reincarnate over and over again to try to break the cycle, but it hasn't worked yet.

Basically, the female lead died, and the cycle begins over again.

@BurningBridges the two main characters are on a cycle that they must either destroy the impurities of the world or met the real god and rewrite how the cycle works. In the cycle that the story takes place sekai dies and the male MC tries to end the cycle and fails, so they met again one last time before they forget everything and the world rewrites itself, until they met again and try with almost no chance of success.

thanks for these final chapters. not the happy ending i was looking for, but an ending that somehow works. it still feels like it was shot down quick and short, but nothing can change that.

@BurningBridges The world they live is essentially a simulation. It only exists so long as they both exist. Each time, they reincarnate in a new reality with different forms and no past life memories. This rigs the scenario so that he will always watch Sekai waste away trying to shoulder all the world's malice, helpless to do anything meaningful. Once he gives up, it's over. They cease existing. So he puts them both through that suffering again and again in the hope that he will eventually break the cycle, somehow. He hasn't for over 10,000 tries, much to God's amusement.

Now to wait for the novel translation.

@larcek
this is because the novel goes through a few cycles of their story, I haven't read them in a while, but the manga touches all of volume 1 and some parts of volume 2 and 3 and puts it all into 1 cycle, instead of the two they were originally. Or that is at least what I remember

yay good job author. You showed that it was a cycle and didnt give shit for the mc breaking the cycle as he sure as hell didnt do anything showing that he had even the slightest chance at doing it.
