@BurningBridges So there's actually two Gods. There's the "provisional God" aka the female lead and the "real God" behind the scenes. Thousands of years ago, the male lead was supposed to become the provisional God, but the female lead decided to take his place instead. So the "real God" offered the male lead a chance to break the cycle. Since then, the male and female lead reincarnate over and over again to try to break the cycle, but it hasn't worked yet.

Basically, the female lead died, and the cycle begins over again.

Each time, they reincarnate in a new reality with different forms and no past life memories. this is because the novel goes through a few cycles of their story, I haven't read them in a while, but the manga touches all of volume 1 and some parts of volume 2 and 3 and puts it all into 1 cycle, instead of the two they were originally. Or that is at least what I remember
