I believe the intent was for the big slime to mock the power of friendship and the classic shounen tropes. Basically, he was calling them pathetic for believing in, and relying on, other people. Just your usual taunting/gloating that villains do when they think they've won. That said, it was pretty awkwardly conveyed, so your confusion is understandable.

They just skipped a scene.
The scene in which MC had an epic fight against the big slime before he saved the small slime.

Usually when MC forgives the character that tried to kill them it's annoying, the slime however gets a pass, since it was literally created to do so but despite that it still gathered enough willpower to try to help them in the end.
