Alas, some of the city-born authors just don't know how folks washed themselves before modern plumbing and the kind of electrically heated bathtubs the Japanese sport. Not like ancient people couldn't make pretty fancy stuff, the Romans for example were surprisingly innovative, but some random mountain military fortress would never have had anything like that.

There was a magic tool introduced in chapter 8 that was basically a modern shower head, with a magic water source. Which is probably similar to what is being used here. Also you can make thin pipes like that with basic tools, it's just generally not worth the effort. You can do things like roll flat metal over a round bar, and then rather than welding it to itself you can braze the joint. Depending on what metal you are using you could even just cast it.

Besides that, lathes are over a thousand years old. There are also all sorts of water wheel powered hammer mills that are similarly old, though most were used for milling rather than metal work. Metal rollers are similarly old though they seem to have been meant for soft metals. A lot of the machinery that would be used for making thin pipes are actually quite old.

The modern processes wouldn't be available to them without using magic to replace steps, but there are many ways to make pipes.

While yes, he did figure out that she has a magic stone her chest, but we still don't fully know the reason why he had to kill her in the og timeline. I have a couple of theories, but nothing fleshed out enough to talk about yet. And as for the headmaster, that is even more of a mystery as to why she had to die.

He would, but the first time it kind of slipped away, then there was the conversation with the others over the meal which makes him hesitant, and finally the second time he has a chance, she kind of rushed the conversation and darts away before he has a chance to really say anything. Not entirely his fault.
