It was always very fanservicy but it's true the balance went off a cliff years ago. I think everyone welcomed the fanservice but when you completely lean onto that, it's just a hentai with extra steps and no moneyshot. The world itself has nice building but that has being stalled for years now. Even with the fanservice being the focus at that point, the lamia village arc had more interesting things going on and didn't feel as heavyhanded. And like I said in the comments of last chapter, in published pages this has been 8 months worth of lactating fetish over almost 3 years, it's too much. I hope the author get his shit together and starts thinking outside his fetishes.

the quality of this manga has taken a nosedive hard through the last year/s.

i'd hazard that since anime ended it crashed and burned.

This milking arc has been total trash for me, we've barely seen the "main gang" together in a long ass time, zero romance at all.

In fact, secondary characters and their romance arcs are far more interesting than MC...

I think the creator himself said he's run out of ideas for stuff to do with the main girls. So it looks like we'll be having more content like this. Not that I personally mind, but I do wanna see more main girl content sometimes. Like... exploring more backstories, perhaps?

I mean, to be honest, what is there left for them to do other than just straight up fuck? All of them live together, kiss, and touch each other on the regular with the main dude. They've done everything but fuck. The main, original conceit of the manga was that they couldn't fuck because it was illegal, but that's been gone for like a decade at this point, and it's such a sex-positive culture with tons of freedom of expression in love and relationships that it makes it hard to believe that it'd end in such a non-harem ending. And most of the monster girls are totally fine with the MC having more than one partner (other than Lamia), that it can't possibly end in anything other than harem end. So, we know where the relationships are going.

It's a fun monster-girl universe, so it's probably more interesting for the writer to write and introduce new monster-girls than it is to spend time on the old ones.

By the way, anyone remember when we had a twelve-chapter-run of just varying centaur-breed shenanigans with little of the other monster girls introduced or spent time on? We're just revolving around his fetishes at this point. Centaurs into milking, I wonder what's next?

I'm liking Giantess, also he's been REALLY into Umamusume, so I'm hoping for a variety of Non-Centaur Horse-girls who are larger than the MC.
