I seriously thought I got faked out with Johan taking the gift and played like a fiddle. But Johan was even smarter than the first level, jesus christ that's a good way to get that role.

The scene at the end saved this manga fir me i was this close to dropping it

So damn smooth. I was a bit lost of what Johan could play when he was revealed to be the Friday Boy, and like everyone, I internally yelled to the guy to not give him that evidence he was the son like a fool. Urasawa was two parallel dimensions ahead of me.

Still not sure if I believe or like the dual personality theory but it gives Johan some nuance to be able to advance his position while doing some good and showing kindness (like at the construction site and now here for this reunion).
