I feel like their dynamic was already locked in early and they're happy with it staying the same.

Hatomori is comfortable with the distance of loving Idols and Ruri is comfortable with the distance of her job and being loved as an Idol by the masses. She knows how Hatomori's brain works and is generous with the things Hatomori loves like signatures and merch. Ruri gets to have a hideaway where she can relax with one fan she feels comfortable with. Hatomori keeps having to fight off info about her Oshi she doesn't want part of her fanon. So they can vibe, but that's because they respect the proximity they both want to maintain. Not sure there is a resolution to that ongoing companionship dynamic since they both seem happy as is.
