I searched for the story of "The Celestial Maiden and the Wheat-user" to see if it was a true story, and I found nothing. It makes sense that Fujita invented a fictional fairy tale to use as an example to show what happens when the main character is absent from his book for more than 5 days.

@Jettatore92, same here. I'm curious on how the story goes and wanted to find out. But the only thing that came up from the search (in japanese it's "天女と麦使い") was the manga moonlight act itself.
