Scorched Earth denialIf his plan to deal with the empire is to get the kingdom destroyed so that the empire can't beat them, that might actually be genius.

It's implied that buddy noble just recently heard about Angelica's daughter but this is another case of classic manga adaption issues, they sometimes don't give enough information so that it ends up with "plot holes". Minor spoiler relating to what your talking about, from the novel: They actually send spies to do spying and then find out from them that Infact there is a girl, possibly a daughter, they're not sure but they assume some relation because of the maid Pearl is with, and so they enact a plan to kidnap Pearl, and amazingly they time it perfectly as Pearl has taken her gloves off which in the novel, have the power to teleport away and were designed for cases like this!!I can't tell if this is bad writing on the author's part, or if the king and his advisor actually have holes in their brains. If the advisor knew the vampire had a daughter he should have led with that. Their goal is apparently, to just get the vampire involved so she destroys the empire. You don't have to conscript her. Instead of sending S-Rank soldiers to attack her, they should have been used to kidnap the daughter disguised as Empire soldiers and bring the daughter to the empire. (This plan won't work either, but it's a billion times better than whatever the fuck this nonsense was.)
From a writing perspective, this at least gives the illusion that these people can strategize and makes for a more compelling read in my opinion. Honestly, this felt more lazy than anything.
