well there is a footnote that says' her opinion' but if someone's already doing so you wouldn't need it to begin with other than superstition/a nice gesture as a gift as opposed to someone buying a vitamin for themselves

I love how natural the pacing feels.

Most slow burn rom-coms suffer from such artificially glacial pacing, that it feels like a milestone when the author throws us a crumb of progress.

This feels like the real kind of slow and awkward stage at the beginning of a relationship.

But others really are starting to be involved in their relationship, even if in the most tangential sense. I like her neighbor just randomly being a recurring support character, though. I hope we get more of those (maybe Euglena & Microscope couple, maybe not) who also get mixed in and either actively or inadvertently become cheerleaders in some fashion.

It's because Kuroi has no game whatsoever that he isn't fluent in women's fashion (making it an uncommon item). Not even having a sister seems to help; he must be so clearly hopeless at romance in her eyes he doesn't get asked for his opinion.

No wonder it endears him to Haida. With her self-esteem issues she might honestly fold at the first sign of competition, but without even realizing it Kuroi makes it clear to her on a regular basis there are no other women in his life, there never have been, and it isn't terribly likely there will be. Even though she doesn't think of herself as someone who could ever be special to a man, she clearly is special to him. Every time she falls over in front of him and that doesn't seem to change is just going to make her more determined to keep scheduling dates.
