Ngl this is one of my top choices for an anime adaptation. It doesn't even need to have great animation. Just good VA casting and decent direction

Kuroi needs to be monotone yet expressive.

Haida needs just the right amount of perpetual nervous energy.

I'm personally out of the loop on current VAs, but they cast that and they've got themselves a show.
