Amazing manga and story, a must read if you are having second thoughts on reading this.

only thing I noticed was the guns are all from different eras, but other than that small gripe, the story is well written with good art.
Score seems apt, would rate it higher like in the 8.7 - 8.8 range tbh, so far the story has had me gripped since the start, can't say that a lot about other mangas.

problem i got with this manga:
based off sherlock holmes. moriarty who is an antagonist of the story pretty sure he dies in the original story. so if this is based off that then the mc will probobly die in the end.
just finished catching up and james bond whos next frankenstein, and dracula

Just realized the character on the cover is james.

I'm a little disappointed with this rendition of Irene Adler they always make her into a so called "sexual icon" which wins men with her body. But she literally was just better at playing mind games than Sherlock. No falling jn love ir nothing. Sigh

Feels like everything's been smooth sailing for the protag (Moriarty co.). Don't really like how they did Irene either. Overall a bit meh, but the Sherlock chapters has potential.

@lime-beverage thanks, your work is good. We do appreciate it. But, can I make some suggestions?

This story has so realistic settings in England, so using some Japanese terms kinda lessen the impact. Like using "sensei", can you change it to "teach" or "professor"? And please, never use "-kun"/"-san"/"-chan".

The artist do so much of a good work to let us imagine the scenery & atmosphere of industrial England, dont make his/her work going to waste by bringing Japanese accent/dialogue quirk.

Other than that, you do a great job. Thank you for your hard work.

@refki you do realize this is originally a Japanese manga right? the way lime is translating they're keeping it as close to the original as possible. the honorifics weren't added for fun to be a "japanese accent/ dialogue quirk"

@bagofsaltysalt Yes, yes i do.

But, like I said before, it is kinda taking down the artist attempt to bringing us the nuances of the realistic/historical aspect.

Sure one of a type of good translation is a translation that dont change too much from the source material, that is a respect to the original artist, but, it is also true that there is a type of good translation that focusing on the reader experience, that dont just stick-to-the-book/source material, but alter it to make the reader has the same/almost same experience like when they read their own language book. It is called localisation aspect.

Like when you are a child and read a foreign fairytale story, like momotaro, did the book keep the -kun/-san/-sama? In the book with a story for a child? No. They keep it simple, so the reader wont be confused and has a good experience reading it. Doraemon? Did your country published with Nobita-kun? Mine didnt. Crayon Shin-chan? Just in the title, but in the story they call it Crayon/Shinosuke.

Yeah, it is for a child, and we are not a child anymore. I know. But if we can make it better, as realistic as possible, like the author & artist attempted to do, and the way to do it is possible, and theoritically & practically it does happen before & allowed, why not?

William and Sherlock's chemistry is sort of like the chemistry between Clark Kent and Lex Luthor in Smallville and some Pre-Crisis stories.

I don't understand your point. The original manga is in Japanese so it's a given that we're reading it from the Japanese author. Since this is a work of fiction, it doesn't need to be realistic. You might as well go read a nonfiction book about Moriarty if you want some historical accuracy where Europeans don't use Japanese honorifics (san, kun, sensei, etc). Since this translation team aren't official translators, I don't think they need to do the localisation aspect thing either. I get that it will ruin the world of the story for some readers, but it's a lot better than keeping them ignorant from what the original material was written like.
I'm sorry if this comment seemed offensive😂 I grew up watching 4kids anime and stuff so changing the original writing because the clashing cultural stuff just felt disrespectful to the author, in my opinion.
