"I'll get a nurse" is there not some on call button for it? tho i guess if she's never had to be hospitalized first she wouldn't necessarily see/recognize where it is (Unless JP hospitals wouldn't have one but you'd think there would be a need for one in all hospitals)
"Half a month later" Dang cut him off girl if not sue or so but other than getting caught with an affair partner while in a legit relationship can't exactly be like "I almost killed myself bc of you" Or just bringing it to some tabloid i guess

I like how the writer somehow was like “I shall give my fat friend captain perfect, and make the love interest of my own self-insert garbage in more ways than one.”. Bold move; I respect it.

not saying it'd be much better on her wallet but i would assume rental boyfriends aren't allowed to accept extra money gifts, or maybe it would've been better for her to choose a diff host each time if not just go to a brothel (tho i imagine she's there more so for 'emotional support'/acting as lovers as opposed to it just being about the sex)
other than the negative sides of it, i think there has been some humorous stuff of like that one male AV actor, and some gay closeted guy who moved away and did sex work as a liberating thing/probably did so because it's easier to find ppl who'd pay him for sex than finding a legit partner

It certainly doesn't. Many of the events make no sense and also happen in the minds of others so Honoka would have no way no knowing what they thought.
If being a high class prostitute pays that much, I would simply hire Hinata as a personal host and cut out the middle man.
I believe there is something called “marriage” in Japan, an awful legal loophole that even allows this to be done without paying taxes. Why would one spend al this money on extraordinarily expensive champagne to feed him a small portion of it when one can do it directly?
Actually no. I woud simply use all that money to be allowed to break someone's fingers of course, an intriguing experience one must have sampled at least once.

I feel like rather than being addicted to hosts/rental lovers in it's entirety, she's addicted/obsessed with her bias Hinata since she's been with him since the very beginning. Sunk cost fallacy
but yeah, if she wanted to wean off of her obsession for Hinata, I do think it would have helped to try other fake lover services before leaving entirely

Maria will win so hard and completely humiliate Honoka it's not even funny
But the thing is, she wants to get married, and he knows it. A few chapters ago she was looking at marriage magazines and he told her that they'd have to wait until he's retired. He's leading her on, and while he now toned it down a little, not only did he not retire, she kept him because she still has that faint hope that someday, maybe, he'll marry her. While all of them play on others' lust and emotions, in this case these hosts actually maintain the girls in that crazed state. So not only did he knowingly love bomb her, since she went as far as to whore herself out for that possible future's sake that also somehow makes him into a groomer. What we see as someone being stupid from an outside and rational perspective, is just an extremely toxic and abusive relationship where she gets emotionally manipulated throughout. It's just too easy to think of her as being stupid, IMHO. This happens every day, to men AND women.
No matter what excuses he brings up to rationalize it, or the flashbacks we're getting to somehow feel more sympathetic to him, in the end he's knowingly using her as a stepping stone.
