I mean, the plot already confirmed that they'll marry so the interesting thing is how he's going to change and accept that Honoka is a prostitute.

Japanese has a word for it. It translates pretty well and is basically internet slang.
Otherwise known as that the idea that some people have gotten from their “harem anime” that Japan is their purity paradise is wrong. People who watch that stuff are just as shunned in Japan and outside of it. It's really not socially accepted in Japan at all.

Most translators for whatever reason don't translate slang to slang wherever possible so people get this strange idea that Japanese has no slang or colloquial grammar. The interesting thing about the Nagotoro incident where some people were mad because the translation used “sus” was that the character actually did use a Japanese slang word for “acting suspicious” at that point but many translators would simply translate that to standard English while indeed a perfectly good slang English word exists.

My guess is it will be an arc where he will have to learn to stop slut shaming any girl that's not a holy virgin saint like he expects them to be.

And not as mere superficial classifications of "pure" or "dirty".

It's perfect fit for no other reason than that the term they use means that or at least it's an internet slang term in Japanese obscure enough that even most monolingual dictionaries don't contain it. It has a very 2ch-esque connotation in Japanese I'd say.

Alright now I know this man is entitled to his own feelings regarding how relationships should progress. I could even understand if this guy just wasn't ready to have sex yet.

But he really is just like that huh? I guess I'm eating my words from the previous chapter because I don't dig this guy at all. I miss the tutor. He was also taken aback with Honoka doing soap, but he quickly sorta embraced it and even used that knowledge to effectively tutor her. I guess the remaining intrigue of the story will be Honoka trying to get her future husband to be more accepting of her "impurity."

Yes, I was watching some Lycoris Recoil clips with English subtitles the other day and it annoyed me.
The original lines obviously try to draw a contrast between how Tisato and Takina talk. Tisato speaks in very slangy teenager Japanese and Takina speaks in relatively formal, polite Japanese, not quite the level of written Japanese in how formal the grammar is, but also how few people would actually speak, and the subtitles simply make both characters end up the same.

It's all too common. It's especially annoying when other characters remark upon it in some way, and to explain that they make a character talk in a more slangy way for two lines to explain it, and then ignore it again while the character had been speaking like that the entire time.

The way Japanese is often translated is so fake. The weird thing is that many fans actually think that using slang is fake and not using it is “faithful” while Japanese fiction glories in the cartoonish use of slang and informal to create contrasts give characters an identity. Different characters in the same title almost always talk in different registers of formality to give each distinct speech patterns and make them stand out from each other.

I mean there's another possible interpretation here: he could just fundamentally be insecure about being a virgin and not know how to deal with a sexually liberated or experienced girl. Like, on one hand he doesn't know how to please them and doesn't want to be shit at it, and on the other he probably puts girls on a pedestal not out of malice, but because he minds them a little too much.

Bit of a self-insert here, but at least the thing with Mai basically being all over him and him offering his bed is a situation I somewhat recognize from my own uni days... 18-year old me slept at a girl's place multiple times, and when she did come to my place once I gave her my bed and slept on the sofa. Because "why would someone like her go with someone like me", "I'd suck anyway", "I'm reading too much into it, she's allowed to just want friendship without the other expecting romance"... We lost contact, but the true learning experience was when one of her (female) friends asked me at a party, months later: "why didn't you do anything, all she could ever talk about was you". Being mindful is fine, but when someone puts themselves out there (especially a girl who doesn't want to appear slutty for being too forthcoming), you gotta face those insecurities head-on.
