It works if you are talking from a position of strength. A person fighting at or exceeding your opponents level. Which he did amd even pointed out he would train the FML up to the level she could do the same.
Was also stated the golem would attack without thought, and that it would guard its weakspot from attacks. Nowhere did it say it would always keep its weakspot protected.
The individual is high level and has strengthened hos body with magic. It is also a common trope which is based in real world physics to reduce the majority of the force of a blow by jumping in the direction of the attack. That coupled with his magically reinforced body mitigated the attack and set up the counter when the weakspot was exposed.
Welcome to the wonderful world of battle shounen. Where the words fiction, magic, and manga logic are used to explain away any and all inconsistencies. Feel free to gripe, lords know I do, just expect your arguments to fall of deft ears, and or rabid fans that will defend their ideals till the bloody bitter end.
Think you're mistaken. Even those lofty high tier series have cringe worthy nicknames. They are just hidden behind a layer of anonymity because it's the background characters that usually assign the cheesy names and then the MC loudly refuses to be named such while secretly fanboying in the deep dark recesses of their mind.
I didn't even think that hard about until now, but it just gets worse.
If attacking it head on is advice for someone far stronger, then why is he telling it to people who are far weaker?
And wouldn't that advice apply to literally any situation where you're far stronger? Why even say it?
A golem has high attack and high defense, but is slow. Wouldn't actual advice be to get behind it? Or since it lacks ranged attacks, fight from a distance.
Also why did he need to attack it under its foot? Yes, that is where it's main cord is, but it's beneath a layer of armor. Why not just aim for the joints and cut the whole leg off like he did to the arm 30 seconds ago.
The whole premise of this series is that he's good at teaching people when he's demonstrably awful at it.
I admit the name might be a me problem, but i just find it funny when people use a color adjective for something that is already a color. Like if his hero name was the crimson rainbow.
You can like the series if you like, but to me the writing was simply so bad that I couldn't help but say something.
