I understand that building up the bad guy so that when they go down it just gets that much more satisfying... but when you only build them up in chapters for it to not appear at all at the end of it... is just... cliffhangers... why? They are like one of the worst traits for a story IMO, is the series that bad that it requires these kinds of hooks to make readers come back?? =-=
