Ah, the irony of humanity. Despise capitalism/greed all we want on the surface, but generations of money-conditioning has clearly destroyed any other means of negotiating beyond the constraints of money...
In that sense, I envy the demon lord for never having to deal human capitalism and greed. And I pity Dan for never being able to leave the necessity of money, even as a hero and after retiring as a hero.

Really is for the best that he didn’t get that money. Like they said that much gold could ruin the economy if spent wrong. It would be like all those comics and animations about Link using the duplication glitch and ruining Hyrule.

I really want to continue reading this for the other characters but I see no worth in following the story of an MC like that. I don't even want to see his character development at this point, which I feel will be very slow and painful, if it happens.
Him getting the short end of the stick every time is also annoying and frustrating af, especially so because he's dumb af.
Could've easily negotiated the terms but gave it away for free because his dumbass can't bother thinking for a second.

Dan needs to either open his eyes and see that Madrun would take him even in his dumb state now or that Xenovia's been all over him for ages and has always been ready to kill to protect/impress him.
