Wasn't the whole point to scare the enemy troops while keeping them alive? So how does it work with those soldiers who panicked, bumped into each other, fell on the ground and died, all because of that 'Dark magic' attack? Is this not enough for casus belli?

Was gonna say the same thing, they did a real poor job of showing the scale of the enemy forces.

Ngl, the way this whole battle of 2 vs thousands panned out was…kind of boring? I thought he was absolutely going to stomp with flashy but not lethal techniques. Also, the mangaka just did a poor job of showing inherent power. Second’s slashes that cleaved the ground looked like tiny shoveled ditches when they should’ve been MASSIVE valleys that cleaved the earth apart.

The mangaka also missed an opportunity to really show off Anko’s abilities. I thought they would zoom out over the scope of the battlefield of thousands and show her black mist just go from zero to encapsulating EVERYTHING. But they only ever showed a few soldiers at a time. Damn. And the blasts from her spear twirl were also small explosions which made it feel not so threatening.

I’m a bit disappointed to see how it was executed, especially how they off-screened all of the magic platoon’s training with monsters.
