Well, it depends on the setting.Natto learned “Fireball” it was super effective
Also yeah that’s a classic misconception, doesn’t have to be a staff, just a medium you’re attuned to. Magic swordsmen are a thing after all
Considering imagery is the more important part of this setting I do wonder if there’s a misconception on the gear. It’s not that you can’t be skilled with gear outside your class, it’s just people are so used to getting class assignment first they get locked into that class image without flexibility. Especially since it’s not a rigid spell systemWell, it depends on the setting.
How well can the item you are using conduct the magic power. Or how it may help shape the spell in making it easier to convert the raw mana into the desired effect.
Wands and staffs are usually the ones with the best properties for this.
Swords (of a suitable material) or most often only the conducts, but without the spell shaping help. Thus why magic swordsmen usually are weaker than pure mages who use staffs purely in regards to the strength of their magic effects (but making up for it with their swordsmanship added in).
We have seen your comment and wanted to reply! In case the typesetter happens to read the comment section: can you consider making the text flow better? I think you are probably using an AI given the weird positioning but I'm sure you can prompt it better.
Also, "paia" is most likely to be "pire" (or even "pyre").
Hey, that's great! We have seen your comment and wanted to reply!
That's fine... I also worded it poorly re-reading it. Let's say that since it was a mis-pronounciation of ファイアー (fire) you could have kept the joke by using some other word that rhymes with "fire". "Pyre" is the most obvious since it's similar to the original and does kind of sound like "fire", but it could've been anything really, even nonsensical words with no meaning. As a collective we knew it was pyre but we thought it didn't fit the old man (sorry genji) and we figured as he's old and probably misheard we could try and make it something intelligible like paia, but to confirm yes it was originally pyre but we changed it!
Sorry if it was confusing
Please and thank you, sometimes it's very difficult to follow because the text is very far from the place it's supposed to be.And yes... we will have a word with our type setter over the placements.
Everyone has to start somewhere, but it's going to be uphill without feedback. I'm often at fault of being too curt, but know that it's never a personal attack (at least not on the first interaction... if someone attacks me I might respond). As someone who also used to translate I try to help when I see someone that's obviously a novice. But please don't forget we all here are extremely new! some more than others
So I ask sincerely of everyone please be patient with us we might not be the best but we definitely are trying to be!
They followed the Uncle Hulk, Vixen Nephew streaming stint.I really dig the grandpa/granddaughter combo; it makes this series worth it.
