What kind of monster peels a
pear?!?
Also, the lettering is all over the place, it hurts my head…
I find it unlikely that common knowledge from only 40 years ago would just be forgotten like that. Did nobody write it down? Did no one ever take on an apprentice? Are there no history content creators researching the old way of doing things just for fun?
Sure, you can make an analogy to how people don't know how to do things like write in cursive or fix a computer today due to changes in technology but these techniques are still extremely effective. There's no way people would stop using these techniques just because they started hunting in parties.
To me, it’s more akin to how a lot of people under 25 can’t for the life of them find their way in a city they don’t know well without a GPS app: the “guide yourself with landmarks” technique has been largely lost because there’s not much use for it anymore when you can let an AI do the mental effort in your place.
I’d say the thing that really ticks me off is that the solo techniques are way more effective than the collaborative ones. No way would they be forgotten with that in mind.
