My curiosity got the better of me and I tracked down a translation of the novel to find out why he got dumped.

Obviously both girls lied about liking someone else. First girl dumped him because she felt guilty that they couldn’t see each other often due to her school being far away, so she thought she was robbing him of having a normal relationship. Second girl dumped him because she thought she was a bad woman for dating someone in high school when she’s trying to become a teacher. Yes, both of those are things that would have hurt him less to say than the lie they told…. Everyone is dumb in this story, including the MC who absolutely wants to get back together with them even though they fucked him over so bad. I stopped reading after it was revealed that his neighbors on either side of his apartment were the two teachers and he admitted to them that he had dated both of them in the past.

Totally agree I already prefer her over the other 2, if u going to dump him do it or don't date at all but to go for kiss which makes him catch more feelings is to selfish, leave him heartbroken and state of shock for a while, understandable, totally like that anime about the school bench
