You idiot, you just make things worse. Oh my goodness these characters. In some isekai's into stories, it's kind of the trope. Either they are nothing but characters who have to stick to the script, or they are living human beings who are going along fate. These characters are pretty much the former. And I thought catgirl was going to be the problem in this story. Nope, it's the hero's love interest.

No it's not "anyway". Anything bad happens to her, MC will be blamed by the hero. Hell, the girl runs off on her own already blaming MC when she dumbly trips and falls into a dungeon. MC will be blamed for all of this.

I actually like how the girl didn't immediately fall head over heels towards the MC.
She saved MC because he was the victim. But he was essentially still a stranger. Since she had a special power, I think it makes sense that she was still wary of him. The fact that MC barely explained anything made her worry. I mean unlike us readers, she couldn't read his monologues.

At least she didn't antagonize him blindly.

But with the overall situation at hand, knowing herself that she cant handle surviving on her own since MC had to save her/help her many times despite “her power”, and still decides to run away just to mess up in the end, makes her a complete and utter moron that deserves to die. Sadly, MC cant have her die or he will be blamed for it, so she has the ultimate plot armor on her side… despite being a moron.

If what I read in the comments turns out to be true, I only hope he says “hell no,stay with your self serving party of morons, dont want anything to do with you, so fuck off.”

Now this person helped her without explaining anything. She has only met MC (non evil Lobelia) for a day. She has a special power, and MC never explicitly said he wasn't after her power. I think it makes sense for her to be suspicious. I mean would you happily stay with a suspicious person?

It takes time to change your first impression of someone.

Edit: imagine you just won big from a casino. You called Uber, and the driver was your bully from high school. The GPS malfunctioned, and now you're stranded. Would you stick with the same driver, or would you try finding another way home?

i agree that she knew him as evil lobelia and doesnt know the changes we do know and that plays a big factor, but that doesnt change the fact that she is totally incapable (so far) of taking care of herself or capable of surviving where they are at the moment, why would She consider that leaving his side was the wise choice when it was shown that she wouldnt be able to survive on her own? in my eyes (and probably lobelia’s) she is a complete moron.

Well, he is tippy toeing to not make a mess out of things, but also because if I remember correctly in one of the earlier chapters he did note that while he wants to say one thing the actual words that come out are completely different than his intentions. Seems he has been getting the ability to speak what he wants, but slowly. I wonder if that also plays a role in how things are playing out.
