Just kill the Hero and it's companions, they're genuinely the only villains in this story at this point, dude literally asks "Why are you crying" and just proceeds to puncture him with his sword 😐

Honestly no idea what the story wants us to think really, there is no reason to forgive any of them and they just keep acting unreasonable

Even worse is the hero was right there as he was explaining exactly what was going on. The hero was just blindly following "their justice" and ignoring anything said by Lobelia because the hero already considered Lobelia an irredeemable enemy (so much for Hero of Justice).

Like, I get it. The author is clearly trying to do some sort of deconstruction on the whole hero of justice trope. The problem is that the deconstruction has to occur on both sides, not just one. And so far the "hero" isn't growing. That just makes him an ass. And in the one moment of possible growth for the hero with the "Why are you crying?" line is totally subverted with the fact the hero ran Lobelia through immediately after with no forethought. "I caught you off-guard with a cognitive notice of a mental state that is different than what I thought? BETTER KILL YOU." At that point you are no longer a hero. You are a bully.

The real question on if it will be a good setup is if the "hero" actually learns something in the next chapter(s).

my fellow readers.

is there any title where the hero is not just brainless NPC, or a vain idiot?

any suggestions is appreciated.

thank you.
i would suggest

My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending - The hero is naive but hardly stupid. It’s an actual masterpiece of a story, though unfortunately released monthly.

The Great Sage's Beloved Pupil - The hero is intelligent, but he plays a different role in the story. Still, it's unironically very good.

The Villainess' Butler: Death Flag Destroyer at Your Service - The heroine is extremely smart (like literally 70% of the entire cast of manga). It’s an extremely good story, but i recommend reading only if you enjoy romance.

To be fair, three chapters ago we saw that at least some members of the hero group are pretty reasonable people (like Jake). The main reason this misunderstanding happened is a combination of bad reputation (our MC is in the body of a villain they fought in the past) and the fact that some members of the hero group are quite hotheaded. Still, Zordea only jumped to berserk after Rydia attacked Jake.

ok so predictions for next chapter, the girl has come to save him because the people that are knocked out from last chapter come back and tell her that he didnt actually injure them, then the hero is gonna have a breakdown cuz he cant cope with the fact he was wrong and then lobelia is gonna get saved somehow with the magic ring.

Bro... so far this is one of the most annoying heroes that blindly believes he is the justice, even when the other side is already telling the truth, or at least they can contact & wait first until the person who is connected with what they say "problem" showed up ffs.

Hero of justice is an annoying trope. At the same time, this hero seems to mirror certain other "hero" types that one can find in society. Revered as a good person, for bullying outcasts, picking on the weak, making an enemy out of a minority just to be praised when they punish said minority just for existing.

Let's hope the hero sees reason. Too much of today's society doesn't though.
