I read the raw novel, but unfortunately it is incomplete and last update was 2021. All i can say is the novel got really dark, there is no happy ending for MC and the asshole somehow still alive (fortunately everyone want him dead) There is also a light novel of this. By the way this is from the same author of traumatized boy so maybe the story of LN is different from WN.

Ngl I would abandon the world if as well if the same things happened to me, too.

Damn it seems like it would have been better if the childhood friend died in the end. Even if the ring erased her memories, that ring is going to come off at some point. At which time, everything is just going to come rushing back to her. And that doesn't even change the fact that everyone else, including the MC, knows everything that happened to her. Things will never be the same between them ever again.

I'm assuming the MC killed the demon lord himself, or the demon lord is killed early on. Asshole hero deserves to be dragged to the mud for all the things he did to everyone. Hate it when authors try to make us sympathize with assholes by giving them backstories to make us feel sorry and forgive them. As if having a sad past makes up for all the truly evil things they did to people.

I skim through the webnovel and what he said in the 2nd chapter is likely just to agitate the MC.
However, after they escape the forest, he did try to console her, and give her a spiked drink, and when the MC came back he noticed that there is a hickey mark on her neck, indicate the hero do have sex with her, though I wouldn't be surprised if this version or the LN goes completely different road later on

I did the same last night. Essentially, while the MC was out getting her a present for her birthday, that guy has been drugging and raping her for some time. Due to the drugs and her mental, though, she never knew until some time after the guild incident when she was so distressed that recalled those forgotten memories

Likely nothing, from what I skim through the MC likely didn't event met with her childhood friend(until the very end at least) and the hero on his journey.

For a guy who have the hero class you'd though he'd be at the frontline whenever there is demon rampage or something, but apparently after his comrade killing allegation came up, everyone hate him, and he is on the run/exile by himself
