pro tip: don't ever insert imgur pics/gifs as media (unless it's a gallery), but as image links - if you're using a browser then just right click (or long tap on mobile) and copy the image link, if you're using the mobile app then you just gotta use the share button in the image viewer rather than the one on the post.
domain should be "i.imgur.com" instead of just "imgur.com" and the link should end with a file extension like ".jpeg" or ".gif". I'm fairly certain though that md will accept the imgur link you got as an image if you just toss any random valid filetype at the end and imgur will give the correct file type back, even if it's a gif but you put ".png" instead of ".gif" at the end.
