is mtl aloud? i noticed a group that does this will all their chapters and i wanna know if its worthy of a report.

Yes, MTL is allowed and is not something reportable. Though many people personally don't prefer it, Mangadex doesn't stop you from MTLing, so even if you report it, the report will not be accepted. As long the chapter uploaded is readable and not a troll, it's allowed on the site.

One addendum to this would be that although we allow mtl we do not allow automated releases (Rule 1.7, e.g. google lens, ichigoreader etc)

If a group is using MTL properly you most likely won't be able to tell. Though there is a really big difference between groups using MTL properly and just using it more or less unedited. It requires a bit of effort to make it good.

The majority of scanlations out there nowadays use MTL. It's something completely unavoidable now.
