I think what you're describing really shows how well done the setting and characters were. Everyone felt like real people I was really interested in.Honestly I find myself annoyed with the ending of this series, after having a few days to let it sink in, with there a lot more story potential to be had, at least in my opinion. Though this series is about Gye, it had a bunch of stuff involving its side characters that went nowhere, and really should have been expanded on more.
I'm not really good with character names for this series, but the blonde neighbor lady was a reoccurring face throughout this whole thing, and while we did get a couple panels of Gye saying goodbye to her, it would have been nice to see a conclusion to her and that murderer looking guy's story, and if they actually do hook up.
Gye's old friend (the girl featured in this upload) also was really under-utilized. Gye met up with her for that one concert, and after that I don't recall her making any other meaningful appearances, aside from a panel here and there. It would have been interesting to see her interacting with Gye and her bf (same for Gye's parents and her bf, beyond just getting her dads approval to live together).
There's also that one fortune teller lady and her brother that I was hoping for something more from. Considering how frequently Gye's other neighbors were used throughout this whole series, I was expecting something more from them.
I agree, I love this series, but I do believe there could be more exciting stories outside Gye's pov. I actually expected more side character stories after the official ending. But I guess the publishing company and author has their own way of doing this, which is fine.Honestly I find myself annoyed with the ending of this series, after having a few days to let it sink in, with there a lot more story potential to be had, at least in my opinion.
