Why is he giving a booster shot to a patient who already has covid? Once you have a virus, you treat the symptoms, and your body will build a similar immunity or resistance as with vaccines/booster shots (which are just another dose of vaccine). Giving a patient a booster shot for a virus they currently are fighting only makes recovery take longer.

It is part of a science fiction author's job to build on existing science in a way that is at least vaguely plausible. If he meant a cure/treatment instead of vaccine booster, then the dialog should've reflected that.

Yeah, that's why I called it "fake science fiction". It's not taking science or its own premises seriously.
