The MC is wimpy for no reason whatsoever, its already annoying when they make a monologue CH 1 on why but at least thats better than he randomly being one

The plot is horrendously weak, its like the Author made the oneshot without any serialization expectation and had to cook something in 3 days and he came up "i had a dreams of a black screen and a Voice so It must be true", i really hate when editors butt in on oneshots saying they cant proceed with that concept (i miss the OG Gokurakugai to this day)

And the AU Girl not deciding whether she wants a threesome or is completely heartless about her other version really annoys me as well

The oneshot Hooked me from the first page but the serialization honestly sucks for me

The oneshot is pretty full on with the tension and mystery which I think is what hooked me into this series, but the serialization is kinda just... meh. It is, at least for now, a generally pretty tame progression that is slow in contrast to the high tension, high impact oneshot

It feels like a lot longer than a couple months since I first started reading this, and the last chapter a month ago, somehow moreso than other monthly manga I follow.
Feels more like I only read a chapter a year and sort of forget about it then it suddenly pops up out of nowhere reminding me it exists again.
Somehow a fitting sensation for a time/space bending plot?

the fact these are nearly a circle for a venn diagram just highlights the worst of each... which is to say the extremely chibified Art of Split Girlfriend and the everything else of Multiversal GF. at least with Split Girlfriend the Art Inconsistency is a deliberate choice, where as here i look at some of the art and am just struck by how bad it actually is

This is an odd critique to end on. The art here is fine at worst, whereas the art in split girlfriend is sub-par, and "it's intentional" doesn't really ameliorate that. There are many comics that incorporate a variety of art styles due to the themes of the narrative and do so without having sub-par art.

youre conflating artstyle with effort and quality. What i noticed is that the artist is drawing hair with obvious penstrokes that are evidence of dissatisfaction and lack of effort.

What if, Plot twist, and the Future self is actually just alternate self, and lied about already dating him as an attempt to get closer to him?

…we have seen both girls at the same time at different places (such as one of them at the front door when the other was hiding in the apartment), and no “just alternate self” can perform such a trick.

I don't think they meant a disguise/acting to fake there being two versions, they meant exactly the premise: a version who came from a parallel world. It's just that especially in the one-shot version, it's easy to get the impression that Sui-2 is from a future where Jogo wasn't saved in the accident, with her crossing time not just worlds (or even just time to fork the timeline). Which is why some are talking "future self" even though no such thing was said. On the other hand, Firemorfox's comment doesn't quite work with this view because Sui-2's talk about dating (even if a lie) only strengthens her being from a world where things were already different, since "the future after Jogo died" doesn't allow for the relationship to develop. (It's still possible that the parallel world is in the relative future with the same recent events like the accident.)
