i haven't watched the anime, but I read the LN(?) years ago. From what I remember
Paul doesn't die, but Zenith is basically braindead. Did they change it in the anime? I've been wondering this the entire arc if the manga was going to change it, since I remember all the stuff with his mother being depressing/boring and really dragging on and on.
It was a long time ago though, so I could be misremembering.

Paul definitely died in the anime. The situation with Zenith didn't drag on too much (yet?). The season ended shortly after they came back home.

Rudeus proceeded to quagmire Paul, stopping his rush in. After that, they worked their way around the hydra and took it down with no casualties. They then proceeded to return home, and looked after Zenith. She has lost her memories, but with Paul's love and familial attention she slowly regains it. Then they all beat Hitogami together.

Zenith is not naked, unlike the anime. In the anime she looks so graceful, but I prefer the manga version because it’s kinda weird that she is naked
Well, the Manga is more censored than the Novel or Anime.

As for how Zenith was in the Novel, it's not really mentioned. But her being naked is seen as a hint of her going through a rebirth (as people are born naked).

In case of her clothes, there is the theory that maybe the clothes got disintegrated over the course of 5-6 years from the time of the Teleportation Incident to them finding her inside that magical crystal.

There is no definite answer to how Zenith ended up inside the magical crystal. I mean was she teleported directly inside it, or was she incased in it by someone or something else.

I wonder if a hydra makes its decisions through voting and majority rule. It has so many heads that simply debating every time until consensus would take a good portion of its whole life.
It's a misconception that having multiple heads mean each head thinks different stuff and there maybe possiblity of conflicting decisions.

A body doesn't work that way.

If there are multiple heads/brains, that just means each task is being handled seperately as well as in conjection at the sametime, while they are all connected to each other.

There is the possibility that creatures like Hydra are supposed to have one extra brain in their body which acts as either the main brain connected to all the sub-brains in the head, or acts as a bridge for all the other brains to interact with each other.

It's basically a system of how a multi-core CPU handle tasking in electronics.

Well you are misremembering a lot.

Paul does die even in the Novel.

As for Zenith, she isn't brain dead, but rather being trapped inside the magical crystal had made her reborn into a Miko, aka., a being with unique abilities, like Zanoba.

While Zanoba has inhuman strength as Miko power, Zenith gets the power of Mind Read.
But her new Miko power has a drawback, that makes her stuck in a dream-like state, aka., she is in a constant groggy state, which makes it hard for her to talk or interact with real life. Though because she is in a groggy state, Zenith herself doesn't know that she isn't speaking properly as she feels her voice is normally coming out, though it's actually her talking with telepathy which no one could hear.

People initially mistake her state as her losing her mind or memories, but later on learn the truth.

We know that Rudeus was reincarnated, but if you think about it from an outsider's perspective Roxy hitting on Rudeus is a 50 year old hitting on a 16-year old. She ain't a Demon, she's a cougar!

If you want to play fantasy biologist I would consider these possibilities: there's one main head and several backups if the main head is killed one of the backups takes over, but otherwise each head isn't a head in the traditional sense and act more like appendages like arms and legs.

The "brain" exists closer to where the necks begin and the heads do not have a brain

Each head acts like an LAN connection they all have individual wills but have to communicate that will to a centralized brain which can overrule an individual head. This is most like what you're thinking, but would happen so fast that it wouldn't really be conscious of making these choices
Even if you know what is about to come, you cannot help but shed tears.
I got Hammerfall's "Restless Soul" queued up

did the author ever make an "IF" of what is coming?
Not that I am aware, but probably not and to explain why would go into spoilers

y'all mf's should mark stuff as spoilers

fuck y'all

comment section is a stink
Welcome to Mangadex. That's how it has always been. And will probably always be. At least it has gotten slightly better since most novel prophets these days do use spoiler tags consistently. However, if an anime adaptation has gone past the manga adaptation, like in this case, you have got the hugely more casual anime prophets to deal with. They haven't got time for spoiler tags.

It's obviously poor forum etiquette to post spoilers without the tag, but given where the anime is, and given the fact you're in a comments section in the wild... well... in the end the fault is really on you my dude. That's just how it goes. Don't read the comments if you don't want to be spoiled.

And let's be real, people have been posting shit for like 10 chapters already alluding to what's gonna happen in these upcoming ones. That's a lot of business days for you to reconsider.
