This manga had its flaws, it also had it charms.
However, I know for many this is definatly a minor issue, but I loathe "progress" like this.
Don't f*cking tease us, the audience of a reunion, only having them even pass each other on the street, only to "miss" each other like this...
"Is this my Master's voice? Nah most likely not". HOW ABOUT AT LEAST CHECK IT OUT?! I know he was a loser that doesn't have faith in others but still. It's worth a shot that she might investigate what happened (like she is doing).

But worst is Roxy... WTF!? Her WHOLE reason to travel to the Demon continent was to LOOK and FIND Ruby. SHE SEE someone that LOOKS/reminds her of him. She EVEN think "could that possible be", only to CONTINUE WALKING when the others called for her!!?!?!
IS SHE RETARDED?! She had ONE purpose and she doesn't even check the ONE THING she came to do......

Am I supposed to root for these dumbasses?! Heck no. Having flaws is one thing; but I don't cheer for characters who are this dumb for their own good.

Its been years since I read the novel, but if I remember correctly the event of them passing each other by wasn't written until later, with a flashback in Roxy's point of view. Could be wrong about that, though.

For those saying its stupid they passed each other by, remember that its a crowded street with a constant flow of people, neither of them spotted each other and were preoccupied talking to their companions. Although Rudy did think he heard her voice, it was basically a murmur in the buzz of a city, and his knowledge of her being two continents away and having duties tutoring royalty dispelled his thoughts of her actually being that.

Btw, dude in the alley really wasn't a pedo, he's seriously a kindhearted guy that wanted to provide food.

The writing took a harder nose dive after the crying bit. Also the loser version of himself constantly coming back in panels and still being a disgusting shit person make it feel like the whole character has not progressed or changed in the entirety of his second life.

I feel like the person writing this is the shit guy that was reborn. Between the whole father cheating justification and constant child sexual harassment gags. Now he has gone and designed a child wearing nothing but straps demon lord bullshit with all his decisions being made though divine intervention instead of any kind of intelligence.

Also there is a fucking land route and that wasn't even suggested as a option as well as crossing with their own commissioned ship.

I think the point is that hitogami specifically manipulates Rudy so that he misses the connection here with Roxy. There's no way he would normally go wandering off in the back alleys by himself, so by doing so, Rudy thinks he gains with that magic eye, but he also misses the critical connection with Roxy.

It is kinda funny that people are flouncing out of a rare good isekai for such petty reasons when most of the genre is far worse...

That said.. this one chapter seems to be a bad turn. Do we really need some lolibus spreading heterochromia and its accompanying chuunibyou mentality about on account of an in-narrative deus ex machina?

Oh well... as long as the chuuni loli doesn't destroy the plot with this, it should be fine.
