@JavelinJoe: I dunno, I think Minami might be more open-minded about it than most people would think. She'd probably understand that Chiharu getting infected with demonitis was an unfortunate accident, that Merii was forced to do what she can to save Chiharu's life, and that Chiharu's unconciousness prevented seeking her consent. Plus, Chiharu does not hold either the infection or Merii's radical method of saving her life against Lorem and Merii, so that takes most if not all the wind from the sails of any legal case that Minami could theoretically try to bring against the two demons.

Hm. I've been thinking the demon healing process for Chi might have had some unseen effects. This definitely makes it more likely.
As stated by another comment, that could also explain why she's so well endowed in the chest rather than earlier chapters.

I honestly think it's a simple explanation of Chiharu just having been around Gospel for so long and picking him up every day that she inadvertently became stronger because of it.

Carrying a baby around every day would definitely strengthen you, I bet.

I admit part of it is the simple she's always around thing, but isn't she technically part demon cause of what tentacle nee-san had to do to cure her after she caught demon plague or whatever early on in the series? I'm pretty sure that's why she's so strong and still skinny like that

Thanks for the chapter, and yeah Merii definitely did something to Chi-chan's body with that treatment.
Also Google says the average 1-2 yo boy weighs between 21-27 lbs, so if Gospel's main body is similarly composed to that of a human then the extra 10-18 lbs is probably coming from his wings and tail.

Eh, IDK why people are looking into this more than needed. 17kg is around 38lbs, which isn't even close to being impossible for a human girl to hold. I think the reason minami dropped like that wasn't so much that she couldn't hold his weight as much as she wasn't expecting it so she couldn't brace for it. I also imagine playing around and lifting Gospel pretty much every day helped Chiharu get stronger than you would expect as well as learn how to hold him so while it may not be effortless for her, it can seem so to an outside observer.
