It's honesly not nearly as exciting in Japanese as I've made it in English. A more accurate Japanese analog would be if she were saying things like ピエン (something like "i cri") or やばたにえん (among other potential translations, "big oof"), which she isn't. But she's still trying to be somewhat "trendy"... if that would be the right word to use here. The best modern equivalent I could think of was the imo justifiable degree of memespamming exhibited. Which, that being said, I'm not about to go full 9gag on this.

I think this sounds stupid too, but every line I translated normally felt wrong to me. Then I tried this bullshit and felt like it worked better. After mulling it over today though ("do I stand by my generally literal translation or let whim enable this renaissance faire bullshit?"), I've decided to go back and reupload the chapter with his lines edited as normal. When I have time.

I THINK that the only confirmed ages we have are Chiharu being 19 and Merii being 23.
