@Drumstick Are you really going there?
We still have no knowledge about her circumstances other than how she lost her mother and the only person she could ask for emotional support escapes into work.
How would a teenager react to this? Think a little before coming to an immature conclusion like yours.

I actually think the dad is the bad one, what's the point of working so hard if you're just gonna lay down and accept everything thrown your way? Spread more of the work around, comment about the problems instead of just thinking about them and changing them yourself, learn to say no if it's not the first time that boss acts like that. He's supposed to receive a promotion and he's still acting like this?

Even the situation with the daughter, if it's that bad, force yourself in her room, it's no longer at a point where you have to respect her privacy. You need to force a conversation/intervention, but you just yell through the door and then go drink.

🤔 anyone else get the feeling that he’s going to end up with that high schooler. I mean he seems like a guy that dances around all of his real problems. This is shown with the work scene and his daughter. I feel like he going to end up relying on the high schooler for physical and emotional support instead of getting her to help save his daughter....... Like your typical haram protagonist 😂

I can't believe I'm more furious over his lack of management backbone than the "potentially dating a minor" concept. Rolling over spinelessly for the sales department is horrible for your lifespan.

@shinsenryuu @tlst9999 I think that'll be part of his development: putting his foot down when he needs to. The only problem is that he really needs a push to start doing so.

Going two chapters in, it's fairly obvious that he's just as affected by the tragedy as his daughter is and really needs the emotional support as much as she does. However, almost everyone in the family is pretty deadset on him not being about to care for her properly (which may or may not be true), so they said fuck him. He probably throws himself into his work to cope with everything falling apart, all the meanwhile trying to prove that he can defy their claims. This is probably the result of doing so.

It's even more tragic because he's an adult; he's almost expected to handle everything on his own, even if all he wants to do is crawl into a corner and drink his sorrows away and cry until the cows come home.

It's pretty obvious that they'll end up in a unhealthy relationship. Pairing up someone with daughter issues with someone with daddy issues doesn't usually end well.

Most likely, the girl will nudge him into the relationship, they screw in the heat of the moment, and everything spirals out of control from there.

Also, I find it funny that the comments are 50/50 hate or empathize. Personally, while I think he could be fathering better and be less weak-willed, I can give him credit for genuinely trying. It's just that sometimes, simply trying isn't good enough when you don't know what you're doing or if your personality mandates that you can't try hard enough. Yeah, part of the reason his life sucks is his own fault, but a lot of it is still due to circumstances way beyond his own control.

There's no excuse for failing to be a good father, but I can empathize. He just lost his wife and he's a salaryman that's shown literally any promise so work will pile as much crap on him as they can get away with until he cracks. It's a shit situation. I hope these two can put their heads together and help his daughter out.

Run away man, LOOK AT THOSE EMOJIS
Nah who am I kidding, I love manga like this

I wondered what happened to her daughter, I’m going with either: mothers death caused her to ebooks this (obviously but it seems a bit much) or maybe even being bullied badly

@Equilibrium
Her circumstances are likely not worse than her Dad's. To not only scorn her only provider, but actively cause trouble for him by being a truant is undoubtedly selfish, however realistic it may be for a teenager. To call a spade a spade is not necessarily to pass judgement.
