Cause of Kousuke's really bad position:
1. His daughter caught a disease called early depression (Caused by the passing of her mum at quite a young age)
2. His wife passed away (Which is a major early plot device)
3. No one is able to let him fully rest/cope with his piled up emotions (His own daughter? Nope. His co-workers? Nope. His other love interest? She's a double-edged sword)
4. The main heroine is his daughter's friend (Look into reason no. 3)
5. His birth parents aren't exactly the supportive type
I love these interactions and the aftermaths that happen after them
1. At first it was just because of 2 reasons, but because the event where his daughter ends up cooped up in her room did cause a heavy plot where the MC meets the MH (Though I do kinda think it's one of the better outcomes)
2. Now things are at one of its climax where the MC "could" just choose to "run away and start a new life" with MH, I doubt that will ever happen in the near future. Like, betraying your dead wife's supportive parents? Leaving behind your own daughter? There will always be heavy consequences with burning bridges, the heavier the burden that you burn behind the heavier the consequences
3. The MH's mom is probably a Karen, though idk why didn't the MH just tell her dad about her mom despite obviously seeing the huge gaps between their dominance, morals & capabilities. That mom only has conditional love for her own family, so I can see why MH's dad left both of them (The mum, because she's an actual b**ch. His daughter, because she still loves her mom)
4. The MC seems to be acting more & more... revealing about his personal problems, which is both a bad thing and a good thing (Bad, cause... Well I don't need to explain if you've seen all the previous chapters. Good, cause he is willing to fully cope with his situation bit by bit)
5. Where's Truck-kun when you need'em most? Or at least Knife-chan (I haven't seen Rope-san's realm yet, so she's out of the list)
