@OhWell21 I don't think so. If u see from the start, the MC has been an ideal adult as u would expect one to be despite his daughter being a hikikomori and his wife passing away. He has been handling stress like none other for non-stop a year , and his only relaxation point was the cafe where he saw the girl , and not that he was in love but it was like a refreshing point, as he says "my own castle" .And so eventually it is the girl who initiates her move on the MC and if u call him breaking down in front of her as a 'move' then I just have one thing to say, He's Only Human. There is only so much burden we as humans can carry, and regardless of all the pressure MC did it, he was the father and Chief, and he also resisted Kouto but at the same time he got attracted to her as a person whom he could depend on as he talked about everything with her.

Man how come she didn't understand how Kirisagi is if she already experienced what her mother did to her

Questionable decisions by the MC but damn, his daughter is the worst character by far after that psycho mother. I get it, she doesn't understand everything. She's only seeing it on her own perspective and kinda selfish view as well.

I have to admit, when he said he'd be back by morning and then she threw up, I laughed. Just at the absurdity of this manga.

I agree with @princess_daphie; Miya's making it really about her. Also the dude she's hanging out with is definitely preying on her situation.
For real bro. She out here running away from home and doing anal every time she meets with the most obvious playboy, and she thinks she has the right to complain about her dad running away. Psh, don't give me that. Go do some anal u freak

Okay is it just me or Miya is really the worst character!!! “I was trying to understand you dad” bitch when?????? All I saw you do was run away, lock yourself in your room, not go to school then run away with a guy you just met at your school.
*correction. All she does is run away and do anal with known playboys. We already know shes going to meet up with him to offer up another new hole. She aint got no right, complaining about her dad running away when shes the community bicycle.

Miya: Her mother is psycho.

Also Miya 5 minutes later: Just let her mom look for her.
Lets be honest. It's already well known fact that Miya doesn't care for anyone other than her own feelings. She does and says what she wants to say, and gaslights his father into thinking its all his fault (like everyone else in his life, other than his father).

Miya thinks the world revolves around her, everyone should cater to her and her feelings alone. The father does not matter, nor does his feelings.

skipped school, run away from home
*correction. She ran away from home and had an anal marathon with a fuckboi. He asked her how she wanted the sex, whether she wanted it the "usual" way or anal. shit makes me laugh. We got butt stuff daughter judging the father.

What a shitty father. Imagine any parent choosing their gf/bf over their kid, ng, ng at all. Especially given his daughter's recent issues resulting from the death of her mother. Get emancipated kid.

The throwing up makes sense to me. Idk imagining myself as a teen and my dad telling me he can't be with me because he gotta chase some thot i go to school with - like jfc I'd feel absolutely worthless and sick.
Tho why does she deserve to give him an ultimatum, when she ignored him for over a year, caused him a ton of trouble, and to this day treats him like his feeelings don't matter. She's making the whole situation about herself, only cares for her own feelings. Doesn't care for what Koto is dealing with, doesn't care about what the father is going through. She runs away to do an an al marathon, and when the dad runs away, oh no he can't do that. Only I can.

God dammit, you stupid salaryman!
You finally got the chance to fix your life and now you blew it!
Let's be honest. He had no chance. Koto was instrumental in helping Miya, but she led him astray. He could've turned it all around, but he (understandably) couldn't ignore Koto when she was in dire need of help herself. I may be looking into it too much, but the whole sayonara part and her revisiting all those places she went with him is just a cry for help/desperation. She supported and encouraged him when he was at his lowest, and while admittably, he is now blinded by love/lust, he wants to return the favour.

That being said, I agree that the smartest thing to do is for him to give up on her, and let her do whatever she wants (prob to end everything permanently), but let's be honest, that's not very exciting, and that doesn't give the ending much spice. I, for one, want to see him honest with his feelings, so at least we don't have to settle for a shitty anticlimactic ending to arguably what is a very thrilling manga.

@seth90 @sirflimflam

i dont think her father just "Give her space" man... he tried and we can see how she really is... just go to the first chapter and tell me if what you are saying is just "Give her space"... and im not talking about the relationship betwen Kousuke and Koto, we are all agree that is fucked up, and i love the fact the even the protagonist knows it....

But her daughter is just shit, just read the manga all over again seeing how kousuke tries to reach her daughter and when she finally comes out, what she does?

Even in the situation when he told her to comeback to his parents city, the way she react and how she build up a wall around him... even when he put a stop to all the Kisaragi koto relationship...

Just because he is 40 he cant feel abandoned and depressed?

With or Without Kisaragi Koto around the picture... miya is a terrible daughter.
Miya is a piece of shit human being, point blank period. Everything was handed to her. She acted like she was the only person on earth suffering, while actively making his dad's life a living hell, with the school also on his ass.

She didn't even show a single ounce of remorse or ask how his dad is feeling. She just decided one day, yeah, I'm going to be normal now, no thanks to the effort of anyone helping me. Then she doubles down and blames the dad for all her troubles, as if she were the only one affected by the death of her mother. What makes it more insufferable is that she ran away to do an anal marathon with a fuckboy (arguably, his dad should be mad, but he has the honour to not spy and stalk her... kinda like how she invaded her dad's privacy 24/7, looking through his belongings, stalking him at Koto's workplace...) And somehow she has the gall to gaslight the father into thinking he's giving up on her, if he decides to help someone else who's having a crisis themselves.

Honestly, she never showed an ounce of support or care in the world for her father, so why would she care if he runs away, or offs himself. She would prob love it, since she already hates him. She just doesn't wanna be an orphan, but on the bright side, she can do unlimited butt stuff at home if dad isn't around (as if she wasn't already doing that).
