Committee meetings, exposition dumps, the recurring, never funny joke about his not being aware that he has not sense of local economic values, and a bully confrontation ending in a butt-hanger.

He said he wants to use weapons from his homeland on them, right?

I hope he breaks out the tasers and the pepper spray.

Lies , even in real world one cannot pay with silver ingot. They might even call the police as to ascertain if such things are legally acquired.
technically, you can. but it's usually a method for the rich and powerful. as silver ingot(or any kind of predcious metal, really) is harder to track my the government.

"It's not that unusual to pay with silver ingots" yes it is you fucking dolt. It's no longer the goldrush era where you can pay the bartender a sprinkle of gold dust and other assorted chunks of precious metals to pay your tab.

Real thing that happened btw in the 1800s, people didnt give a shit about metal origin n shit. So some prospectors were lazy after a hard days work or the bank was closed so they just straight up paid with raw gold dust n small nuggets.
still not bars of straight gold tho

He probably refers to the Edo period's koban and oban, which while called "coins" were in fact more like gold ingots of significant worth. Not really a general purpose currency though, these were used in exchanges between rich noblemen and daimiyo. A shopkeeper would balk at receiving them as payment.

Yeah.
The MC's running gag of "OH IN MY COUNTRY.." got old after the 2nd time, and it's now, what, 3rd? 4th time? Meh.

I really can't stand Karina. I hate her for the same reason I hate all tsunderes, once they stop being all pissy for a minute and you start to think they're kinda nice they do or say something that makes me wanna smack em upside the head.

Mc was kinda ok at first. But now he's just a retard. Not helping when he has these moments: "I'm gonna please these girls with sweet. Hehe, I'm cunny", "oh wow I didn't know" with dumb faces. It's like the author intentionally piss off his readers.
At this point, he already knows average stuffs in modern time are like treasures in mediavel time. He has moments that he thinks he has to be careful, but then slipping on banana peel by doing stuffs that are too abnormal and suspsicous even in modern world. Then making a stupid oopsie face without actually thinking that he did something bad.
He wants to be a trader/merchant but he doesnt really learn nor reflect on his past actions at all. At this point, a normal person will try to be as humble as possible of their valuable items. Learn to properly gauge the value of goods and currencies. I feel sorry for the captain having to deal with his stupid ass all the time.

Also, I can't believe the author just craps on his mc in mere 2 chapters.
