Looking at it from the other side, he made 5 million within a day. Also finally got rid of that old ring.
I guess he is well-paid, but the crystal he is using is nearly unique, which makes it seem like he isn't paid much.

I mean 5 million sounds pretty good and he doesn't need to care about the egg's price, cuz he isn't paying for it. And he also wanted to do stuff with that egg, so he probably threw in a discount. And that ring... Sure if you create a gun capable of piercing anything it's cool but if no one can use it, it's price is 0 dollars.

"a ring would be much flexible than staff" while it actually is flexible, it's only flexible for people who are using sword-shield combo or dual sword shiz like the sage ossan. he should've said "convenient" instead of flexible since it's much more convenient to carry a ring than a wand/staff and it's easier because it weighs less than both of them.
