I like to make up stories to explain the scary seeming side of him. For example, the blood on his hand at the end of this chapter is an injury he got while rescuing a small child who was being attacked by stray dogs. There. I feel better now.
Welp. That escalated quickly. Can't see this as romance now, I'm always going to be theorizing some kind of horror motive or something when he does something. Great read though, I love when they pull out rugs from the readers.
Yeah, but on the other hand sometimes creepy people sometimes just give off creepy vibes... and then you find out sooner or later that sure, in that moment you misunderstood them, but in the bigger picture you picked up that they were shifty...
i.e. sometimes the initial "oh I was wrong" isn't enough to throw off any prejudices you have... for better and for worse
