The flavour of jealousy that he has really is pitiful. He's despising her for being able to be carefree in a way he never had the chance to, even though you'd think it'd be a good thing that she hasn't had to experience the traumatic things he has. But his hatred is also leading him to mischaracterising her in his mind as someone who never has and never possibly could experience something traumatic or be affected by things like that, which we've seen to be not true.
I didn't really have a point here, just thinking about jealousy and the addicting nature of hate even if you have doubts that you might be the one in the wrong.
