I kinda like Mc, but I am getting tired of these ML who starts cute, then starts treating MC badly around the teenage years just so they can be tsundere or have some shenanigan reason "I did it to protect you". I feel there are times it works and times that doesn't, and this is in the negative one.

@Nixnaw Not really. From what I saw, it looks like there are charms that can give special effects upon wearing them, and you can only wear one. It seems likely that when the MC gave a different charm pendant to the ML, the ML treasured it and wore it instantly. Then, some time later, the ML was in a situation where the protection charm would have eliminated any pain or injury, but because he was not wearing it, he suffered. Hating the person who gave him the charm is a bit extreme, but not entirely out of the ordinary.
