i'm ngl guys, i miss how this story was before the school lore stuff became the focus. back when it was way more cutesy slice of life.
this is kiiiiind of a drag....
hard agree + seems to be the usual response at this point. Thing is, the reveal fell below flat and we kinda are trapped in this cycle of the author teasing something the readers want to instantly shove it aside and progress the "story" (happened 3 times in 7 chapters lmao)
Also, and I type this with the utmost respect to what chad MC did and the victim BUT who tf cares about a random girl that can't even speak tf up and instantly free him from any suspicion. Heck, she even defended the assaulter. Even this chapter kinda just ignores that possibility. Hard to get into it, ngl.
For the issue is we're getting back-to-back....revelations of just how bland this was and the MMC was beating himself up over nothing. Like him following his friends back to Tokyoko is making this aside too much. Its also making his eventual choice to stay all that much harder becasue he's got really good friends.
I guess its not that this "bad" but its really not well thought through.
But maybe this this the final arc before the Sweet Home Yokohama timeskip ending.
I can appreciate Umi's stance:
Her childhood reveals he has feelings for her, gets really scary, and she just refuses to go to school so doesn't know the whole story or even who saved her. She still cares about her friend and isn't sure how to process her feelings because she's also 13.
But she's also a real dip. I would expect more from a girl who force her way into the check-in tour.
