It's good that Yuna let Rena in a bit and Rena unknowingly did a good job of reinforcing how much she trusts Yuna and values her. Now Rena is aware of Yuna's insecurities and struggles at least somewhat. Rena's blaming herself, but it's a better place to be in then when Yuna was hiding all of it, to the point of implosion. Interested in how they navigate things from here but a step in the right direction.

Sex is clearly a coping mechanism for her. She's not just "horny" for the sake of it. Change is bringing on her anxieties. She's feels inadequate and believes her only worth lies within her ability to please her partner physically. She's literally crying as she basically says "as long as were having sex I don't have to think." It's not meant to be viewed as a purely positive development.

Although there wouldn't be an issue even if they both just liked sex because that has absolutely nothing to do with being "pure," or with maturity.

They have great love for one another and show some real strength in their ability to meet these issues together, no matter how messy. This is a real relationship, working through normal issues. By "pure" what you mean is "fake."

I dunno, I prefer less/non sexual series but in my experience most yuri isn't anyways, of hundreds I've read.

There's nothing wrong with some gay stuff being sexual anyways, that's part of most people's lives after all, someone out there probably feels seen by the "every day" thing she's got going on, even if it's not really me.

In her case like the other reply said she clearly has issues with supplying some kind of worth feeding into this, so hopefully they'll continue to work through her issues as this chapter finally started to touch on.

And if you consider "pure" relationship to be fake then you should not read yuri... Purity is what yuri literaly stand for, that's why the vast majority of yuri dont have sex of anythings lewd shown. The entire Yuri genre is based on having relationship without any sex nor lewd fanservice. Most of the time author never show more than kiss.
Because you dont need to spend all your time talking or thinking about sex in a relationship
