Status immunity is broken no matter the game/novel/works. I wonder the extent of it though. Some only count stat change. Some factor in mental state like fear, bewitch/charmed. The truly ridiculous one just give the finger to to everything, since amputation & death are technically a state change of the user from "alive" to "dead".
