I think everyone is being super harsh on that kid. Saying, "You're making it hard by coming here every summer," is so cruel. Going home for the summer is the most normal thing in the world.
When has it been suggested that this is Xiaoyang's home? Everyone (including Xiaoyang) is reacting like this isn't home for them no? But yeah either way, it's certainly tough.

I really liked this series but boy is it losing steam for me. Mainly for the fact that Xiaoen is the only character that I find the least bit endearing.

That seems to be the case but I admit I'm a little lost on the relationships here. I don't know if it's because if my own difficulty of putting faces to names or because the story is deliberately offuscating the details for the drama.

I don’t think he grew up there. He doesn’t even seem to have a former bedroom or house to claim and the locals treat him like a visiting city person. More like an out of town relation visiting vs grew up there vibes.

This is a masterpiece in the making.

Thank you for the awesome work on the translation.
Another masterpiece of mine just ended, so this one is one of the last few. Although it's also starting to wrap up. I think it's supposed to end around volume 9.

I wonder what's his story... Because everyone wouldn't be so harsh on him for nothing, right...

I had the same impression. I'm not so sure about their relationship, but they are family. The kid clearly has nowhere else to go and wants to be there. It's not like she's there to cause drama; she just wants to be with her family and is willing and able to help out. It felt so out of character for everyone to treat her like this.

May I ask...what other masterpieces? The hunt is neverending.
